About Me

Welcome to The Wife Maker!

My name is Katherine.

I’m a wife.

I’m also a daughter, a sister, a friend, an entrepreneur, and woman living through a season of infertility in her marriage.

I’ve been married for a while now. I got married as an “older bride.” At 33, many would consider me a spinster. Or old maid. I have no idea what the new term is.

No matter what society decides to call me, I waited for quite some time to get married. It wasn’t what I wanted but I have absolutely no regrets about how that played out. 33 years was how long it took for me to be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared to be a wife.

After all these years, I finally consider myself to be a Proverbs 31 wife. It wasn’t something by which I came naturally. It was a gift from God that I was able to reach a place where I could…and do…confidently consider myself to be such.

I’m also a Titus 2 woman and I’m actually more proud of that designation. The Titus 2 woman teaches those who are coming behind her. She recognizes that life experiences are made to be shared, and to be learned from, as we continue to move forward. I was blessed to have friends in whom I could trust to lead me along the path to wife-hood. Not everyone is that fortunate. There is a lot of misinformation about what God expects from us as Christian wives. A lot of selfish, human ways that we try to use to attain Heavenly goals. There are many misconceptions about what it takes to become a wife.

The biggest one being that you have to wait until you become a wife to learn how to be a wife.

You may still be wondering what The Wife Maker is about and why I’m spearheading this particular ministry. As I reflect upon my life and how I got here, I realized that this is needed in our community.

The Wife Maker is a community of women who are dedicated to learning what it means to be a Christian wife, before the ring.

We are real. We are honest. We are transparent. We will take the role as our husband’s helpmeet seriously and are preparing for the day…whenever it may come.

This community is all about YOU. This place is about preparing yourselves for this particular ministry…the ministry of marriage.

We’re thankful that you’re here.

PS – Married ladies! We would never leave you out! Visit our sister site, Yoked, for information and conversation that speaks to you.
